back in time just to say goodbye again
June 28, 2008 at 1:21 am | In Uncategorized | 3 CommentsHi.
Sure has been a while since I’ve been around these parts. I’ve been extremely busy the past month or so. I have a whole new respect for people with children, I’ll tell you that much. I have no idea how parents EVER find time to do anything. I, being childless, am lucky if I can grab an hour to myself to do absolutely nothing between slumbers.
Work’s busy. I’m training for the next position up, as well as doing my position. It seems the days are going quite a bit quicker now than say 1 month ago. I like it though, keeps me occupied
I have something in the works that I’m not going to share just yet as it could really go either way. It’s not job related, it’s actually health related. The waiting game is the hardest part. I have about 2 more weeks (It’s been 4 weeks thus far) to wait for the approval (hopefully not rejection) from the government (OHIP). I’ll keep you posted. It’s something I’ve wanted for so long and to think that I’m about 2 weeks away from either the beginning or the end of the whole process blows my mind. I can’t think about it too much because then I drive myself crazy with speculation.
I’m off to the cottage on Saturday (June 28th) for 9 days. woohoo, how exciting! I love the cottage.
My goal is to get on here at least once a week. No more of this once every month crap. I miss blogging and reading blogs regularly.
okay, I’d better get some sleep. I have a 9am class at the gym, then it’s off to the cottage. I’ll try to get back on here with photos soon after my return (July 6th). Have a great Canada Day and an amazing Independence Day!
Yes, I’m still alive :)
May 5, 2008 at 9:55 pm | In Uncategorized | 6 CommentsI was without internet at home since the 15th of April or somewhere in and around there, and although checking my email from work was ok, I thought it not smart to do any type of blogging from there; you know, since I’m new and all :). Speaking of which, in a few more weeks, Its been 3 months since I started my new job. Time flies and it doesn’t even feel like it’s been that long already. It’s going very well.
Some pretty exciting things have happened since I last blogged:
I turned another year older. Meaning: it’ll be less than one year ’till the big 30. YIKES! Not really ok with that, but unless I’m dead, I’ll have to be, right?
Got the ok from work to take a few days off in August to go to NYC. Can’t tell you how excited I am about going.
Also go the ok from work to take the day before and the day after Canada Day off so I can still go to the cottage with everyone. It’s not the full 2 weeks like usual, but I’m just ecstatic that I’ll be able to go at all.
I got another piercing, but, I don’t have photos as yet. Lets face it, it’s still healing and getting all crusty and nasty, so I’ll spare you the ugliness. I’m not too fond of the jewelery, either, but it has to stay in for 2 weeks before I can change it to a prettier one.
I met my 1st blogger friend at the WWF-Canada CN Tower Climb on April 18th. Teena actually recognized me while she was standing in line waiting to register. We exchanged a quick hello and good luck. I wish we had more time to chat, so, hopefully our paths will cross again sometime in the near future
The climb itself was so much fun! I can’t wait until the next one in October (Teena, you in?)
I think that’s about it for now. It’s going to take me quite a while to get caught up with all of your blogs, and trust me I’ve been dying to get back into reading them regularly. Hope you all are well and I’ll be around shortly to visit
Birthday weekend…….and sick as hell
April 5, 2008 at 9:58 am | In Uncategorized | 5 CommentsWe were going to go to Niagara Falls today with a bunch of people to celebrate my birthday on Monday, but then I got sick. Really sick. I think I may need to see a Dr. My fever has been at 102 since wednesday night, breaking only for the few hours while the NyQuill and DayQuill are in my system. I am so miserable because everything hurts-especially my lungs and back.
ok, i think i need some sleep now. Later

March 17, 2008 at 7:42 pm | In Uncategorized | 9 Comments…….That’s how many stairs there are in the CN Tower and how many I will be climbing on April 19, 2008. Myself and 5 co-workers have registered to climb the CN Tower in support of WWF-Canada. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do and think it’s such a privilege to say that I climbed the CN Tower for such a good cause. I am so excited to do this. The average person climbs in 30-40 minutes. I’m sure I’ll take that long at least, but I’m going to pace myself for sure. I’d better hit the stair machine at the gym, though.
Protected: okay, I feel like crying.
